River Valley Landscapes was formed by Brad Groff and Doug Caldwell in 1991.  From the start, we were committed to make a difference in the landscape industry.  Brad and Doug wanted to give the consumer an alternative to what others were offering.  River Valley Landscapes has grown into one of the most respected Design Build companies in PA.  It has earned 28 Awards for Landscape Excellence from PA Landscape and Nursery Association.

In 2000, River Valley Organics was formed.  This revolutionized how mulching was done in PA.  A year later, Doug introduced Filtrexx erosion control solution to Pennsylvania.  For many years, River Valley Organics has installed the most Filtrexx products in the world.  We have been recognized both locally and nationally for our environmental efforts.

In 2012, River Valley Recreation was formed to design and install commercial playground structures.  River Valley Recreation services Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey.  Most of the playgrounds structures installed have been for schools and parks.

Brad and Doug have been actively volunteering in the industry and community.  Doug has served 10 years on Eastern York’s School Board and 2 of those years as President.  Brad has delivered presentations across the country to help businesses succeed along with serving on the PA Landscape & Nursery Association’s Board of Directors.  Brad currently volunteers at a couple non-profits in the community.

Our biggest reward is seeing our work bring families, friends and communities together.
